moisturisers for rosacea

Gentle Moisturisers For Rosacea Skin

If any of you out there suffer from Rosacea, you probably know it can be quite a painful process to find products that are kind and gentle on your skin. The time of year has now arrived where a lot of people will start to feel their skin dry out so moisturising becomes more important than ever!

These days, there seem to be more and more products hitting the market designed for Rosacea sufferers just like us. The problem with this is that a lot of the new releases or recent releases are high end and a bit pricey. However, the good news is, I have found two awesome,  budget friendly moisturisers for Rosacea that should help ease your suffering :).

You may recognise both of these items from previous hauls I have featured on my YouTube channel but until now I had not reviewed them in detail!

First up we have the Yes To Carrots Nourishing Rich Moisture Day Cream.

This is not specifically designed to calm Rosacea or redness but for me I have found it works really well. As with most Yes To products, it is 98% natural and as it is carrot based, it has a lovely sweet but mild scent. I apply this everyday before my primer and foundation or even if I am not wearing makeup. The consistency is lovely and creamy and it does not have any greasiness to it. It takes a little while to dry as it is so rich but is amazing for dry skin.

I only have dry skin around my nose and it is not normally much of an issue so if you have normal or sensitive skin without dryness I would still recommend you try this out! While it is not targeted to calm redness as I said, I find that this feels lovely and soft on my skin and causes no irritation whatsoever. This is rare for me so many products leave my face with an unbearable burning feeling, so this moisturiser is an absolute gem and a must try!

I picked up my bottle in Sephora but you can also grab it from for the price of €15.44. You get 50ml and I must say, a little goes along way, so it will last you a really long time!

Next up is the Yes To Cucumbers Soothing Senstive Skin Calming Night Cream.

That’s a mouthful of a title but a real little miracle of a moisturiser! After I fell in love with the Yes To Carrots moisturiser for day time, I went on the hunt for something else from the range for night time. The Yes To Cucumbers range seems to be more geared towards sensitive skin so when I found this product I was all over it!

A review on the feelunique website actually sparked this purchase as a fellow Rosacea sufferer had commented on how well this worked for her. I have to say she was right. Anything with calming in the title is going to get my attention and this is one of the few moisturisers that actually delivers in that regard. Applying this all over my face before bed means I wake up with nice calm skin. I found that my skin was less irritated upon waking and this is when my irritation used to be at it’s very worst. I would wake up feeling like my face was on fire and for the first time in YEARS this is no longer the case!

If you know that feeling, this may well change your life. It smells strongly of cucumber which some of you may find refreshing but personally this is a scent I hate! This has not put me off though as the reward of calm skin is well worth putting up with a bit of cucumber stink haha! This is a bit more expensive than the day cream at €18.74 but again you receive 50ml so it is going to last you awhile.

This to me is so worth the price and I am surprised they aren’t charging more! The consistency of this one is a bit more gel like but it drys a lot faster than the day cream. Again it is 98% natural and this is also hypoallergenic.

If you are going to chose just one of these moisturisers to try out, this is definitely the one I would recommend the most :).

So, have any of you tried these before? Can you recommend any products for Rosacea that have made a big difference to your skin? I would love to know in the comments below so I can try them out!!!

Until next time!
