Umberto Giannini Frizzi 3 Day Extreme Taming Spray Review

What a mouthful! And that isn’t even the whole title. Today I am reviewing Umberto Giannini Frizzi Day After Day After Day 3 Day Frizz Free Hair Extreme Taming Spray with Weather Proof Formula….

I am not even shitting you… What were they thinking??!!!

I have had this product for quite awhile now and was holding off on reviewing it. I wanted to give it a fair chance to see if it could redeem itself. The first time I used it I was horrified. I thought I must have done something wrong and not followed the directions correctly! How could a product hit the shelves that was so awful?!?!!

So I decided to try it again… I am sad to say the results were the same. This was the worst €8 I have ever spent in my life and the most useless product I have ever tried.

Let’s talk about what it claims to do. “Get your salon quality finish at home and no longer dodge the drizzle to preserve your super straight look, this revolutionary heat activated taming spray resists frizz come rain, humidity or shine.”

NO. Just no. I actually wonder if they bothered to test this product at all.

It is heat activated so you are meant to apply to damp hair and then blow dry as normal. I tried this and it just does not work!!!

There is nothing nice I can say about this product. The consistency is runny but turns sticky when you put it in your hair. The smell is so similar to vodka, it almost made me gag. My hair was FRIZZIER after using this than it ever has been before. It felt so dry and straw like, worse than it ever has, even after I bleach it.

I have heard some people say it works for them but I would really need to see it to believe it. I have also heard it works better if you use it after you apply a serum or another frizz treatment first. Does this not defeat the purpose though?! I do not buy a product so I can add other products in order to make it work! It should do the job it says on the bottle and it simply doesn’t!

I flat out refuse to attempt to use this with a serum or anything else in order to help it along. I shouldn’t have to!  I have never been so disappointed in a product and I know I may sound like a bitch but good god almighty!

How wrong can you get it? Pouring an actual bottle of vodka over my head may have a better effect!

What do you guys think? Have you tried this out and had it work for you? If so, I would love to see a review or maybe a snap of your now less frizzy hair! Please make me a believer!

Right now I have no intentions of purchasing an Umberto Giannini product ever again. GRRRRRR!!!!!!

Gosh. Deep breathes Stephanie!! 😀

Until next time! xxxx

I’ve actually never used a product from that brand I liked to be honest, they promise the world and have never actually tamed my frizz 🙁 Hate when products are so disappointing!

Yea it is such a shame! I can’t remember the last time I tried a brand that didn’t work for me as bad as this one! xx

I’m the type of person who would have seen that in boots, go “omg what a silly name…. MUST BUY!!” Especially coming into A/W when frizz is at its worst for me.. Very glad I read your review!! You just saved me my hard earned €8!

Aw wow! That is so nice. Thank you so much :). I only discovered what that was recently actually! Such a cool idea. I must pop over and read your post to get a better idea of how it all works! Then I can go ahead and do some nominating of my own too 😀

Oh wow, this is hilarious. Sorry that it didn’t work out but you’ve got a talent for expressing anger in the funniest way. Real rage flows through me when I spend eurobux on a product that does nothing, I feel u.

Haha I’m glad I’m not the only one :). When I spend what little cash I have and end up not happy I can be quite the grouch!
