Good evening all! Today we are going to take a peek inside my current NARS blush collection!
Now contrary to what the title may have you thinking, this is not a sponsored post in any way, shape or form, but I just had to tell you all about this particular site!!
Their prices are fantastic and they sell a HUGE range of items. Every time I check the site there seems to be a new special offer running or a bucket load of free samples up for grabs with your order.
I have only ordered from them once so far but I was very happy with the prices and choices on offer. Now let me show you what I got!!
Let’s start with the classic shall we?
If you haven’t heard of this blush, you probably haven’t heard of NARS yet. This is a gorgeous peachy pink shade which has become a cult favourite since it’s release. It has a hint of good shimmer to it to give you a mild glow, but as you can see from my swatch, it is incredibly subtle even on fair skin. This achieves a very natural look which I believe is the reason it is so very popular!
Another strangely named but classic blush.
This is once again, a gorgeous, warm peachy tone but does not have the same shimmer as Orgasm does. This is a sheer blush and blends very well and I personally prefer this to the above! I’m a sucker for those peachy tones!
Not sure what this name means and a bit too afraid to Google it!
I think this is my second favourite of all the blushes I own. It is a delicious brown shade with a subtle pink sheen. If you have pink undertones like me, you may notice this a bit more on your skin than in the pan. I have extremely fair skin and find that this shade can even be used as a muted contour which I love!
A miracle glow.
An amazing golden apricot shade, this can be blended really well to give a lovely sheer glow with a gold sheen. It can also be built up to a much darker shade but on fair skin, when it is blended well, it gives such a healthy radiant look to the skin. AMAZING.
My FAVOURITE blush of all time.
There are almost no words. I absolutely love this. A berry, plumish tone with a very very slight gold shimmer, this to me, is the perfect shade for fair skin. This can be worn in all seasons and it very buildable and long wearing. I think this will be my go to shade, come winter time.
LIMITED EDITION ITEMS
Pierre Hardy Rotonde
I had to get my hands on a few limited edition items while I was at it.
Both Pierre Hardy blushes are inspired by his 2013 shoe collection. They are described as “high voltage” and that ain’t no lie! This is ORANGE. There is no other way to describe it. Don’t let that scare you though! Once you put this on and BLEND BLEND BLEND, it looks fricking amazing but still has a great colour pop. The gold is just an overlay so unfortunately, after initial use, this will vanish. This to me was a shame but the blush is still fantastic without it and has a great matte finish!
Pierre Hardy Boy’s Don’t Cry
OH EM GEE
As you can see, the gold overlay on this one has pretty much vanished. This blush is a coral, reddy pink and it is AWESOME. If they had released a matching lipstick, I would have been all over that shiz! This looks a bit scary initially but again is super blendable or buildable, depending on your own skintone and preference.
Here you can see the size difference between the regular blushes and the limited editions I picked up. The regulars are 4.8g while the limited editions are 13g so almost 3 times the amount of product!
Regular blushes are €30 from NARS or €26.69 from HQHair and the limited editions are €39 or €37.25 from HQHair so great value for money in this case.
Cheeky Bonus Buy!
I believe this translates to Gypsy. I guess I can kind of see it….?
I could not resist this scrumptious rosy brown sheer lipstick. While it is listed in places as limited edition, do not be fooled! This has been around for close to 3 years and I don’t think it’s going anywhere soon! It looks incredible when applied and has a peachy brown look on your lips. Looks a lot more subtle than it does in the tube but still gets the job done.
This is listed on the NARS site for €25 but I grabbed it for €22.95 from HQHair. Not much of a saving but it all adds up :).
That is it for tonight my dears but if you want to check out the site I am talking about, you can do so here.
Until next time! xxxx
